The Silence

I opened up my heart
And I waited
And then I heard it
The silence was deafening
But I could not understand it
I thought I spoke it well now
Maybe I was just scared of what it said
Maybe it said nothing

Only pleasant. Reminiscent of Gibran’s small weird anecdotes, but the contradictions are a bit too much, too obvious and arteficial. Weirdly, it all in all still is pleasant. I especially liked “Maybe I was just scared of what it said.”
